William Fuller Curtis (1873-1938), carved and painted wooden frame dated 1904 with burned monogram WCF verso. Frame holds a hand hammered copper repousee panel of a shepherd boy playing a flute among goats: frame: 26"h x 45"w; site: 16.25" x 35.75"

William Fuller Curtis was born in 1873 in New York, studied in Paris at the Julian Academy under Lefebvre and Fleury, and later returned to work in Washington D.C. His works are in many museums and private collections. He died in 1938.
